All Drawn Out
An in depth look at Extreme Realism, with Tavis Knauer
Learn the methods of pencil drawings and portraits, focusing on the lifelike quality of people, animals, and mechanical subjects, used by extreme realism artist Tavis Knauer.
Tavis will start with a basic shading example, as many students are on different skill levels of art. He will take that time to talk with each attendee and learn the needs of each individual. That way he can relate the technical details to each students work, which makes it easier to understand his process.
Each student will be provided with the materials needed for the seminar, including pencils and paper that Tavis recommends for the highest quality finished product. Each student will also be provided with a packet of information covering the basics of the seminar, for further study at home. Tavis will also have a limited number of complete pencil sets available for sale, these are the only pencils Tavis uses, and are recommended to achieve the level of realism that Tavis works in. Feel free to bring samples of your artwork and or started projects, to get a personal in depth review and advice on potential ways to improve the quality of your art.
Seminars will be Saturday April 6th & Sunday April 7th @ 2:00 P.M. The seminar is normally 1 1/2 hours long, depending on class size. The cost of each seminar will be $100 if booked in advance, or $125 Day of.

Virtues of an Artist

By famous realism artist Nick Malasto

12 PM

Sunday

$150

Thank you for taking your time to look over “Virtues of an Artist” a quick seminar explaining years of information in a heavy couple of hours.  I will be going over very serious techniques about understanding what needs to be done for one to be a successful Tattoo Artist.  In this seminar there will be so many tricks and tips of the trade revealed that you will feel and see the difference the next day.  From marketing issues to understanding your clients skin to understanding compositional skill that makes peoples jaws drop.  All this and many more techniques and skills will come to you with my great vocal teaching ability and one on ones after the seminar is complete…

The seminar also includes a wonderful rotary machine that is the same one I use every day, as well as an informational book containing many tattoo application secrets, using the rotary for many style tattoos from realism to traditional. At the low price of 150$  Every one that has taken this seminar before has really felt the benefits and were very happy with what I gave to them.  If your striving to be better for your self and others, please take my seminar into consideration.

Thank you,

Nick Malasto

Black & Gray Techniques by Marshall Bennett Sunday 3 PM, $125

Halo
$150

It's about MY personal approach into color realism and color portraits, stemming from everything I do from stencil making, finding good reference, ways to photomanipulate and extract colors from a photo to make a distinction between hues and shades, and little tricks Ive learned from other artists I worked with. I provide a projector screen power point presentation, being that I like most of my peers need to visualize to learn; Providing a good turnout, I will be starting a color portrait in the seminar.

The seminar will approximately be an hour and a half long, and I will continue the tattoo in my booth after the seminar so everyone can continue to watch. The cost is $150 and 100% of the proceeds are going to be given to a charity, probably something for the families of the oil spill or something along those lines, I haven't decided yet.
